Besu Normalize Slowly
Bengal Engineering and Science University (BESU) is gradually become normal with lifting of curfew under Section CrPc 144. Recently there was a violent student clash between SFI (Student Federation of India) and Independent Consolidation (IC). SFI controlled the PG students union while IC controlled undergraduate union. The unrest was triggered by the authorities after declaring 140 students "discollegiate", which is they will not be permitted to sit their exams as they failed to get necessary seventy five percent attendance. All other students boycott the exam and they started protesting at their respective Unions. Violence irrupted when IC students union members attacked a SFI peace rally, and one of the professor of the mining department get head injuries when IC students union members started brickbatting. Due to prolong clashes between both the union the Election failed to taken place in due time. Now the University authorities declared both the Union illegal after the clash. Both the student union reacted for stating the respected unions illegal, their spoke person told that the University can not declare the Unions illegal before announcing the date of a election.
