The common problem we faced
on road while using taxis in city, every time people quarrel for
rigged fares and complain for lost belongings they left behind. Soon
this dispute will end. City taxis will issue a receipt to passengers.
So chances of rigged fares and searching lost belongings left to taxi
will end. Bengal Taxi Association (BTA) wants to install printers to
their taxis and they already forwarded a request to the Transport
Ministry. The Minister shown an interest to their proposal. A printer
will cost around Rs.2000-3000 and it will be installed in thirty five
thousand member taxi. So next time when you will board a taxi, you
should check the printer installed or not and don't forget to collect
your receipt when you paying the fare. In the receipt there will be
record of the taxi number along with the fare. So if you are
unsatisfied with fare or you leave behind some of your belonging then
you can call BTA to seek assistance. |
